Just a heads-up for anyone in the EU—I’ve been dealing with customs issues for over 10 days because Matrine seems to be classified as a p3st1c1de under EU Regulation (EC) No 396/2005. The max residue limit is 0.01 mg/kg, and it’s not approved as a dietary supplement due to concerns about potential liver harm.
Even though Matrine is sometimes sold for non-human use (like fish food or p3st control), how it’s labeled and its intended use make a big difference for customs. If you’re in the EU and order Matrine, be prepared for your package to get delayed or rejected, since it’s often treated as an illegal substance.
I think it would be a good idea for Nootropics Depot to restrict Matrine sales to EU customers—like they do with Agmatine Sulfate, NADH, and others—to prevent other customers from having to go through similar issues. Also, don’t be like me: it's better to research all of the items you're trying to import, since customs delays or outright rejections suck majorly.
