Accessibility widget! Annoying this widget always gets in the way and I almost always press it. Hiding it indefinitely does nothing. It's supposed to help, but it has the opposite effect for a stroke survivor it's frustrating and in the way. End Rant

We were forced to put it there because we got sued by an ambulance chaser lawyer who threatened to certify a class action against us for not being accessible to blind people. It didn't matter that we had multiple blind customers for years that were using our site successfully. It was just a way to make money for this scammy law firm that figured out that the US sixth circuit interpreted the ADA differently than the other circuits, so he would get token blind people in Ohio to claim to have problems with people's sites, then blackmail them over it. I did some research, and this law firm had connections to the largest accessibility software company as well. We moved to that one at a reasonable monthly fee, and settled with them, even though the whole thing was bullshit. However, after a year they wanted to raise the cost to $3,000 PER MONTH for the widget. I think that was part of their strategy. They used these scam lawyers to force companies to migrate to their software solution for reasonable costs, then jack the fees up when they got everyone on. We had to move to a different solution. Neither were/are ideal, though. It annoys the shit out of me as well. It's not going to be for much longer. We are in the process of a complete site redesign, and the accessibility will be built into the new design so it doesn't get in the way anymore.
