Sugar Alcohols in Micronized Pregnenolone

Why is Sorbitol used in the pregnenolone tablets instead of just using real sugar? I love the ND Micronized Pregnenolone, it helps me fall asleep so quickly. But I'm trying to cut out all sugar alcohols in an attempt to stop my GI issues

Sorbitol is not being used as a sugar replacement in the tablet. It's used to make the tablets quick dissolve, as it compresses and holds the form well, along with dissolving quickly when exposed to moisture in the mouth. We couldn't just switch to sugar.
