What are some youtubers that you guys actually trust? I pretty much only watch YouTube and I have found some great info. I've heard some of the Nootropics depot employees mention they don't trust most of them so it got me wondering which ones I should and shouldn't trust.
My current favorites are:
Huberman (of course)
Thomas Delauer - Nutrition
Nootropics Republic - dude seems so genuine and changed my outlook on Nootropics strategy
Nootropics Reviewer
Jonni Shreve - Fitness
Jeremy Either - Fitness
Peter attia- Fitness and longevity
Modern Wisdom - for motivation and life advice

I have a lot of opinions on a lot of them. I will refrain from calling people out specifically. However, many of them are shady charlatans that are pushing products from brands doing zero lab testing. We go and buy the products, test them in our lab, and show they are fake, impure, or contain much much less than they claim on the label. Then we share this information with these YouTubers, and they either completely ignore us, or say they don't care. One of them literally said he promotes the brand because they give the highest affiliate commission, and he would change to us only if we beat their commission. We told him to fuck off with that bullshit! Some of them are paying 35% commission, and they can only do that because they are selling fake/under-dosed products. The influencers/affiliates/YouTubers don't give a shit, because they make more money that way. The whole system is a racket, and only works if consumers don't know the shady dealings happening in the background. Some of the larger influencers eventually start their own brands, so they can leverage their momentum into more money. We test those brands as well, and you would not believe how badly they fail. It's insanity! Everything is all about money now. That's all anyone cares about. They make content so they can make money. Most of them don't give two shits about the scientific validity of the stuff they say, or about the accuracy or safety of the brands they promote. Almost none of them are in this because they are passionate about things, and want to help push the space forward. Even the ones that start out that way eventually fall into the same profit-driven moral trap, because doing the right thing for the right reasons is hard, and you likely won't succeed at all unless you play the game.
