I want to take berberine for it'd bdnf boosting effects through sigma-1 positive modulation , which are supposed to give a mood boost
berberine can cause blood pressure to become too low or hypoglycemia in healthy people
ive read that one way to reduce risk of this happening is taking it after high carb meals
What dosage would you suggest taking after a high carb meal, that would still boost bdnf levels?

Regular berberine is usually 500mg three times a day. That's usually dosed 20-30min before you eat a meal. With our berberine phytosome, I actually only take it once per day. Some people take it twice. The phytosome helps improve absorption, but also smoothing out the levels over the day. So it depends on the form you use.
