It doesn't really taste bitter to me at all and a few years ago I did used to drink the beverages and stuff that do have it as a sweetener. It just kind of hurts my stomach if I drink a lot of it, and I'm very worried about the leaky bowel and possible neurotoxicity. I don't really mind consuming it like in like a minute amount with a milliliter of solution but if I drink like 350 mL or something with it it makes me nauseous.
