Hi
Can someone point me please to a study about the safety of sucrosomial magnesium. Cannot find anything on it and i am a little bit concerned about its effects on the intestinal membrane. Ok

Most of the studies on the sucrosomial technology are on sucrosomial iron, as that is what they first developed it for. However, it's the same sucrose ester with the magnesium and zinc versions we sell.
That one they gave it to people with Celiac disease, and they showed it lowered abdominal symptoms.

That study looked at inflammatory markers, and showed that sucrosomial iron did not increase them.
That study compared oral sucrosomial iron to intravenous iron, and showed it was equally effective at raising iron levels, but without the side effects.

Sucrosomial® iron is a new oral iron formulation, in which ferric pyrophosphate is protected by a phospholipid bilayer membrane composed mainly by sunflower lecithin, enveloped in a sucrester matrix stabilized by other ingredients as tricalcium phosphate and starch, forming the “sucrosome,” absorbed as a vesicle-like structure, through intestinal M cells, through a paracellular or intracellular way, bypassing the conventional iron DMT-1 absorption pathway [7, 49, 50]. Each tablet contains 30 mg of pyrophosphate iron.
In the current study, it is noteworthy that the number of days required to achieve a 1-g increase in hemoglobin levels after enrollment and the time to reach target hemoglobin level of 12 g/dl is practically identical in the two treatment groups. It seems that for the SI group, the iron given in the Sucrosomial formulation bypassed all the usual absorption mechanisms present in the brush border membrane of enterocytes, behaving, therefore, almost like the SFGC delivered parenterally.
That study showed that sucrosomial iron bypassed all the usual absorption mechanisms, and gave bioavailabilities similar to parenterally injected iron. That's pretty nuts. They also showed that gastrointestinal side effects were low, and were made even lower if taken with food. They also showed that taking it with food did not hinder absorption. This is a big deal with iron specifically, which is why they developed the sucrosomial technology in the first place. It's essentially a really advanced liposome made up of sucrose and sunflower lecithin. It's safe and well-tolerated.
