Like at Vitamin Shoppe, GNC (despite its terrible reputation a lot of ppl go there for convenience - when I was in a small town it was right around corner from the supermarket), even CVS, Walgreens

It's all a learning experience. You don't know what you don't know till you jump into something. It does make me look differently at stores and products, though. My neighbor is one of the Bashas, who founded Basha's grocery store. I spoke to him a few times about troubles they were having during the pandemic. Larger grocery chains, like Kroger, were using their pull to effectively cut out the smaller grocery stores from supply shipments. He said it was impossible for them to get certain products for a while, because they were all going to the larger chains first. Their family actually just sold the company to another chain because of it all. So even the stores themselves are fighting with each other and using kickbacks to cut out other stores from certain products. It's really the distributors and big store chains that control which products people see on a daily basis.
