Case Study: Lead poisioning and Ayurveda

I ran into this case study and started to get concered about the risk of lead poisoning before I consume my first bottle of ND's Synapsa bacopa monnieri.
Now, I trust this company more than any other and have seen their spec sheets with heavy metal concentrations clearly listed below RDAs. If I didn't, I would not have purchased the product. However, I can't help but be paranoid about the possibility of taking a risk that could potentially lead to almost irreversible consequences to my quality of life. Another fact that makes me hesitant is that Synapsa is a proprietary blend, so it's harder to justify the same quality control as I would with, say, ND's 24% bacosides which are made in the lab.
I guess I'm making this post to seek reassurance or possible solutions to put me at ease before beginning the supplements. I'm no analytical chemist so I can't just test the batch myself.

We don't just trust patent holders on their ingredients. We test them all ourselves, and hold them to our standards. We even have the patent holders send us specific batches that meet our specs on certain ingredients. If we are selling it, we've made sure they meet our specs. It doesn't matter where the ingredient came from. If you buy from us, you don't have to worry.
