Taurine MOA + Long Term Users?

Having pretty profound anxiolytic (non-sedating) effects from a few 500mg doses today (clarity, presence, flow state etc etc etc). No more overwhelming dread thinking about all the shit I have to do. No more procrastination etc.
Would be good to get a little more discussion/feedback about taurine in this sub if possible cuz it's the only one I trust.
As far as I can understand, it's a gabaa agonist and indirectly upregulates gabab receptors. So does it downregulate gabaa over time?
It also protects against glutamate excitotoxicity but does it do this through converting excess glutamate into gaba?
Also, if anyone has long history using taurine would be interested in things like tolerance, dosing, etc.
cheers.

google says .7-1.4 hours.
really hoping someone smart (u/misteryouaresodumb) could chime in and settle the glutamate / gaba conversion thing and maybe even touch on glutamate rebound if we are so lucky.

Time to reach maximum concentration ranged from 1 to 2.5 hr (mean 1.5 ± 0.6 hr) (absorption phase). The mean maximum plasma taurine concentration was 0.57 ± 0.05 mmoL. Plasma taurine concentrations returned to normal range at 8 hr (elimination phase) (Figure 1).
It seems peak plasma levels are around 1.5hr, half life around 3.5hr, and total elimination around 8hr.
