What is beta testing? How long does it take from beta testing to release the product?

I start with beta testing myself, along with my product specialist. Then we get closer to what we think the final product would be, and we open it up to beta testing with a bunch of other ND employees. We have them try things out and fill beta testing sheets with their results. We then use all this data to hone in on a final product and dose. How long it takes depends on the product, how many changes we have to make, if anyone gets side effects, etc. If it all goes well, it might only take a month or two. We have had some things take multiple years to work through, though. It just depends.
