Batch variation in EpiCor powder?

Hey ND,
Loyal customer here. Tried out the EpiCor powder for the first time probably about a month ago. Been taking it daily since. Almost at the end of the 30g tub so I ordered another. However there is a significant visual and consistency difference between the two. I've linked a photo of them below so you can see what I mean. The first batch I got a month or so ago (lot # EPCS1040720) is more crystalline, a darker brown and seems to have some fermented coffee-esque notes in the aroma. The other one (newer batch, lot# EPCS1011521) is much more of a powder, lighter brown and has a smell thats more vinegar like.
Any differences I should be aware of here? I presume both of these are within the parameters spelled out on whatever product specifications you guys are using, as I trust ND's commitment to Quality Assurance. Just curious what accounts for the difference. I understand you buy this from whoever holds the rights to the patent or whatever... I'm presuming the fermentation itself can only be standardized so much and tends to yield batches of varying organoleptic qualities?

Nothing to worry about. EpiCor is a fermented yeast extract, which can vary a bit. Any natural extract can vary a bit. What matters is that its fingerprint matches on the HP-TLC. That doesn't lie. Color in the visual spectrum can vary, even if the actual fingerprint markers are all perfectly matched.
