Seal was broken and I have extra pills?

I ordered from here but when I went to open my bottle I saw that half of the seal was pulled back. I wondered if someone had stolen some and counted the amount of pills and I was given 1 extra. I’m concerned that they got switched out. Is this a normal thing that happens? Packing was fine when it arrived with fed ex

We always add extra capsules/tablets/softgels. We always pad up, to ensure nobody is ever short for any reason. Our machines that input them into the bottles have little laser counters, but there is a tolerance. One out of every 50 or so might be one short. I don't ever want anyone to be short, so we just pad up to ensure they are not. This means the lower end of the tolerance of the machine is still at target.
As far as the seal is concerned, if the shrink band around the bottle was intact, you are fine. Sometimes the cap sticks to the seal and pulls it off a bit when you first open it. It's not an issue, though. The seal was intact when the cap was closed.
