As someone who has managed inventory in the past, and still moderates a decent amount of shipments, you all at ND have got to stop using and giving Fedex your business. Not only is UPS quicker, but their quotes are significantly more accurate and the end user experience is much, much better.

We used UPS before. They were HORRIBLE. They lost packages all the time. They kept delivering to the wrong addresses. They would not show up for pickups. Even inbound they would deliver our shit to the building next door all the time. They would literally leave packages worth tens of thousands of dollars with strangers, then LIE TO US about one of our people signing for it. They forged the signature of my warehouse worker one time!!! We literally screamed at their management team to fix it, and they would promise it would not happen again. However, the next week it would. We had to completely drop them. It was a nightmare for us. Not only is FedEx light years ahead of them, our rep actually helps us. She picks up our calls and actually tries to get to the bottom of problems. Are they perfect? Hell no! Nobody is. However, she got me on a call with a director of the southwest region a few days ago to talk about this snow storm issue, and we spoke at length for an hour. They let me rant and yell about how I think their decision in this instance was stupid, and they actually realized our position made a lot of sense that the higher ups at FedEx were not thinking about. They then took that information and are presenting it to the people that actually make decisions about priorities in routing to consider for next time. I wouldn't even be able to speak to anyone at UPS, and even if I did, they would just lie to me and blow smoke up my ass. We used UPS for years. We gave them countless opportunities to fix the problems. They were either unable or unwilling to, so we had to move to FexEx. This specific issue notwithstanding, they have been an insanely good partner though this pandemic. Our packages have been getting to customers so much faster than anyone else, it's insane. UPS also removed their delivery guarantees, so if we moved back to them they wouldn't even guarantee quick shipping times.
Don't even get me started on USPS. Calling that a dumpster fire would be generous.
