I am a bit confused here, shouldn't then lowering DHT via nigella sativa be a bad thing for males if you have normal DHT levels in the first place? Can nigella lower it too much? I've read a few complaints that black seed oil killed their libido.

If you are a growing male that needs DHT during puberty, perhaps. As a fully grown adult it shouldn't be an issue. Of course some people have low DHT to start, and those people might get side effects like low libido. However, that's not the norm. Nigella sativa has good human research behind its safety and efficacy. In fact, there is a study that showed it improved semen quality.
I've never noticed a reduction in libido on Nigella sativa, and it is not a common issue reported to me, either. Is it possible? Sure, it is possible. However, it is not common.
