Just received shiitake extract that expires 11/2020. Is it really only good till then?

A bit disappointed as I wasn't planning on using it daily, but over the course of the next 6 months

Hey, sorry for the confusion. The person on my team monitoring the lots on the shelf actually just died recently. Literally out of the blue random death at home just before coming to work. We have not replaced her role with a new hire yet, but are in the process of it.
Shiitake is just a slow seller. Not a lot of people buy it. So the inventory moves slow on it. That expiration date is just random, though. It was just 2 years from production date, which is meaningless. We used to do that because Amazon forced us, but we have since stopped. That's just a slow seller from before we changed. It is likely perfectly stable for years more. I will have my team pull some from that lot right now and run it through the lab to retest to see if there is any change. There is likely none, but we will confirm that empirically. That was happening proactively, but her death threw a wrench into our process. So we are trying to rectify that. I apologize.
