Magnolia/Honokiol dopamine

I've read that magnolia bark extract reduces dopamine levels. I love the effects but am mildly concerned about the effects on dopamine especially because im a recovering opiate addict. I haven't read anything about it having any effect on the mu receptor in particular but was wondering if adding something like mucuna or l-tyrosine might help with dopamine depletion or if there may be some unwanted effects by combining these things. Thanks in advance for any insight

Everyone oversimplifies things. Magnolia bark lowers dopamine in the striatum and amygdala, but raises it in the hippocampus, thalamus and hypothalamus.

Magnolia bark is really good for mood. It also affects the GABA-A/benzodiazepine system.
It is not depleting dopamine, nor do any of the studies show anything but improvement in mood. You should be fine.
