Berberine has poor bioavailability, which is augmented by adding Sodium Caprate.
Berberine HCI is the same thing?

Our old capsules were just berberine HCL. That's the normal form of berberine. The reason we are out of stock right now is that we are going to be replacing those capsules with a more bioavailable form in tablets. So no, our old capsules did not have sodium caprate or another bioavailability enhancer in them. However, our new form will be a more bioavailable one.
