Curcumin with Piperine (CwP) VS. Longvida

So I’m wondering if the Longvida is actually better after accounting for absorption, serving size and price.
1 month supply of CwP is $20 (2g per day) while Longvida is $23 (400mg per day). It says Longvida is 95x the bioavailability of standard curcumin vs 20x for CwP. So let’s say standard curcumin has 1% bioavailability.
Longvida: 1% means 4mg is absorbed in a 400mg dose. 95x that would be 380mg of bioavailable curcumin per day.
CwP: 1% means 20mg is absorbed in a 2g dose. 20x that would be 400mg of bioavailable curcumin per day.
So it seems your body is getting 20mg per day more for $3 less per bottle. Is this accurate or did I miss something?

Since piperine inhibits the process that also clears toxins, is there a risk/downside to taking it? Or put differently, are there foods/drinks/supplements that are better avoided when you take piperine?

Piperine mainly inhibits CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein. It also inhibits CYP1A1. So anything that is a substrate of those will likely have their plasma levels increased by taking piperine alongside it. If you are taking certain drugs, that might not be ideal. So let's say you are taking carbamazepine for seizures, you would likely want to avoid piperine. If you are taking the muscle relaxer chlorzoxazone, you might want to avoid piperine. Also, piperine can thin the blood. So if you are taking blood thinners, then you would probably want to avoid regular piperine intake as well. I can't think of any serious interactions with other supplements, though. Just be aware that things that are metabolized by CYP3A4 and CYP1A1 might reach higher peak plasma levels if you combine them with piperine.
