Is there a chance of viral contamination in any batches sent to you? If so, how is this addressed?

I know that there are standard ways to detect bacterial and fungal contamination in the lab. Do these or other methods work for viruses?
I am compelled to ask this by the novel coronavirus situation that's mostly in parts of China, but it's possible that anyone who's sick with even ordinary flu or the common cold at some lab somewhere could introduce contagious viruses by being sloppy. I don't know how well viruses survive in powders. I imagine it depends on the powder.
If there's already a post about this somewhere, I'd love to see it. I used the search function and didn't find anything relevant in this subreddit or recent comments by MYASD.
Thanks in advance.

Makes perfect sense to me—I’d feel the same way if I had a company. I was just thinking it would be nice to invest a little in something I really believe in (which of course i do by buying your products)

I am considering having the ability for people to donate to the nonprofit I am going to be setting up for the industry watchdog and testing site I am going to be doing. I've never done a nonprofit, though. So I want to make sure I understand that model, and that I can sustain it long-term without having to resort to creative funding strategies. I can always fund it myself, but that's not a responsible foundation for something that will hopefully transcend my involvement at some point. I also need to make sure we are not tied up in court for years after we call out all these shitty companies.
