So does anybody know what is the Na-R—ALA half-life?
I have tried search everywhere but dont really find any real information about that.. I found couple old comments from some old forum people saying it is much longer than normal ALA’s half-life is it true?
What they were answering

That is considerably shorter than I expected. Is dose timing crucial then?

It's rapidly metabolized into its 5 major metabolites. Some of those have much longer half-lives, but it is not settled on if they play into the positive effects of ALA. The main metabolite is 4,6-bismethylthio-hexanoic acid (BMHA). The antioxidant effects don't seem to be dose-timing-dependent. However, the insulin effects likely are.
