We have rejected a few batches, due to not meeting our standards. However, we just went back and forth with the lab, and I think it is a methodology issue. Our labs was measuring free EPA and free DHA, along with other omega-3 fatty acids. So the numbers were below our limits. However, they were not quantifying the EPA and DHA bound to phospholipids, like they are in krill. So about half of the EPA and DHA is in there bound to phsopholipids, but the peaks on the HPLC would be different. So they were not being calculated into the total. We are just confirming things one last time, and we should get them into production soon.
Sorry for the delays. When a question about testing comes up like this, I always put things on hold till we can 100% confirm the science behind it. I never want to sell something that is below our standards. So I go extra crazy with ensuring things are in-spec.
