Announcement! /r/CBD will be doing a GoFundMe project to get every CBD product on the market tested. We need your help!

Here's what we have so far. $1303 for ordering the samples. SC labs will test them at 70$ a sample (10$ off their normal price). Total for that comes to $1820. We also need to factor in a landing page for this project, which will be about $200 unless we can find someone willing to do it for free. GoFundMe's cut of the funds is 5% and their payment system takes 3% as well as 30cents of every donation.
Has anyone had success with funding a GoFundMe project? Also we are looking for ways to market this project, on Facebook and Reddit, so we need to factor in a cost for this as well. Anyone with any experience doing this please comment or send me a PM.

/u/misteryouaresodumb might be able to help here, he personally offers to test lots of supplements. It would actually be great if he started stocking CBD.

I've looked into stocking CBD, and even have a good source picked out for our raw materials. However, CBD has been causing a lot of issues with payment processing, and we are having enough of those as it is. However, I may be able to pull something together, and have it distributed through a different retailer. We are moving more toward the B2B market anyway, and supplying/producing for other brands a lot more.
Regarding testing, there are relatively easy HPLC-UV methods out there for CBD and Δ(9)-THC. So we can certainly run them in our lab. The issue is that we have so much testing of our own going on, I cannot really fit anything else into our schedule. I hired a second analytical chemist, but we still only have one HPLC. So that is the bottleneck at the moment.
Honestly, $1820 to source and test that many products is cheap as hell. Gofundme taking 5% is something that can be avoided. You can just setup a Paypal for donations, and have people manually send the money as gifts. It takes 0%. Most people have Paypal's they can add money to, which will avoid fees. Just don't for any reason have someone use the words CBD or Cannibidiol in the comment section of the Paypal. They will shut your shit down, and freeze your money.
