Replying to Hhabberrnnessikk · It is different from regular magnesium. The chemical name is Magnesium Acetyl Taurinate, it has novel relaxing effects that are not fully understood from what I've read.
They are fairly understood. It's the acetyltaurine that is causing the relaxation effect, paired with the fact that chelating it to magnesium increases the lipophilicity. This allows it to deliver magnesium past the blood brain barrier more efficiently. So you get the direct GABA…
